Meeting Between the President and Party Leaders
A special meeting between Anura Kumara Dissanayake and leaders of political parties represented in Parliament was held yesterday afternoon (20) at the Parliamentary complex.
During the discussion, extensive attention was given to the global energy crisis arising from the escalating war situation in the Middle East, and the potential impact this could have on Sri Lanka’s economy.
The President briefed party leaders on the forward-looking measures already taken by the government to address the ongoing energy crisis. The meeting was attended by Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa, as well as Rauff Hakeem and Mano Ganesan, among other party leaders.
