Chaos at a Meeting Attended by Sajith Premadasa!
A heated situation arose today (15) when Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa attended a meeting in the Andarawawa area of Sooriyawewa to discuss local farmers’ issues.
The meeting had been organized by local leaders of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB). While one person was addressing the gathering, another individual raised objections, leading to a confrontation between the two sides.
Following this, the organizers removed the person who raised the issue, along with his group, from the meeting venue. It was during this process that the disturbance escalated.
Later, the Sooriyawewa Police intervened and brought the situation under control. One person, who was accused of behaving in a disorderly manner, was arrested, apparently a SJB organiser
After order was restored, the Opposition Leader went on to address the meeting.
